![]() ![]() Personality and hardiness correlated significantly with mental distress at T1 and T2. ResultsĪnxious-depressive symptomatology in early phases (T1) of the pandemic was the strongest predictor for the presence of such symptomatology 9 months after the outbreak (T2). Analyses were performed using Pearson’s correlations, multiple linear regression, and a moderation analysis. Measures included the Ten-Item Personality-Inventory, the Revised Norwegian Dispositional Resilience Scale, and the Patient Health Questionnaire Anxiety and Depression Scale. ![]() The first data collection was in April 2020 (T1) and the second in December 2020 (T2). MethodsĪ sample of 5783 Norwegians responded to a survey at two time points within the first year of the pandemic. These constructs might serve as risk- and/or protective factors for such mental distress through the pandemic. However, few studies have examined the relationship between personality traits, hardiness, and such symptomatology during the pandemic. ![]() Kaiser Permanente’s leadership in stroke care is a testament to the work you do every day.Several risk factors for anxious-depressive symptomatology during the COVID-19 pandemic have been established. Our outstanding Kaiser Permanente Northern California nurses have done it again, with 21 being recognized by the American Association of Neurosciences Nurses’ with the first-ever Team Harmony Award for excellence in stroke care! This award recognizes the team’s ability to improve patient outcomes, to educate and support the development of their colleagues, and for leadership within their hospitals. The award-winning team of “Stroke Coordinators” represent many nurses across the Northern California region committed to bringing the latest stroke treatment, education, and research to the patients they care for. I’m beyond proud to see this amazing team of nurses celebrated nationally and the first in the country to be honored with this award. And as a result, the ability to assist patients via remote monitoring, virtual visits, and even conduct ultrasounds from the comfort of their homes is becoming a reality for many. Hospital-at-home provides us a glimpse into the future of health care – efforts that I’m incredibly proud we’re helping pave the way for at Kaiser Permanente. #HospitalatHome care has disrupted how we understand and approach care delivery at Kaiser Permanente, and has the potential to transform the #healthcare industry at large. During this period, our industry’s increased reliance on technology demonstrated what health care providers can accomplish with our patients no matter where they’re located. During the #pandemic, this method of innovation showed great promise as an alternative to traditional care – providing an additional safeguard for the health of patients, particularly those most at risk for infections, and alleviating the strain on in-person resources as facilities reached overwhelming capacities. The New York Times has published an insightful piece about the current state of at-home care nationwide. “The American health system needs more hospital beds.” ![]() Sebastien Lustig Sebastien Parratte Michel Bonnin ARGENSON JEAN NOEL Thank you for coming, Elliot, your contributions and inights were invaluable! See you soon either in the metaverse or sharing delicious food in Lyon. he can forever say that he was the world’s first Digital Orthopaedics Fellow (at least at UCSF)! Elliot Sappey-Marinier will make an invaluable contribution to French Orthopaedics and be a frequent academic voice for innovation in both Europe and on the wider world stage for decades to come.Īnd. previously, a wonderful exchange of ideas. It was a super productive year and, as always with international guests such as Alexander Maslaris, Dr. While here, Elliot also engaged in more traditional #orthopaedicsurgery research such reviewing the literature on #GluteusMediusRepair and designing a study looking at optimal #sutureanchor techniques for massive gluteus medius repairs to the trochanter. He participated in our groundbreaking work with Google coupling sensors and advanced #CNNs to replicate both kinetic and kinematic variables, compiling our results using #roboticsurgery in #kinematicallyaligned #totalkneereplacement and participating in the design and execution of DOCSF Venture 2023 (part of DOCSF: Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF)) To our knowledge, Elliot was the #worldfirst #digitalorthopaedics #fellow. Sadly, for me, Elliot Sappey-Marinier recently returned to #lyon, #france to start his career in private practice with several esteemed colleagues, having spent a year with me in both the clinic and the operating room, as well as shadowing my work in the #digitalorthopaedics space.
